Vintage Dutch Military U.S. Ike style Battle Dress Jacket. In serge wool. Rank of Lieutenant patch. Dutch Ground Forces Emblem, Title Engineers embroidered. Issued in 1958, this waist-length jacket features a front button closure, shoulder epaulets, two chest button pockets, an adjustable waist band, and button cuffs, all made with light olive worsted wool fabric. Named after President Dwight D. Eisenhower, the jacket saw various modifications over the years, including the removal of button cuffs in 1950, and eventually being replaced by the Army Green "Class-A" service uniform during the 1960s. However, it remains a popular uniform option for troops stationed in international theaters.
