The Beatles' presence in the 1960s changed popular culture worldwide. By 1964, they had become a phenomenal success, leading the British Invasion of the U.S. music market. Their achievements included A Hard Day's Night, Rubber Soul (1965), Revolver (1966), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), The Beatles (1968) and Abbey Road (1969). These pushed the album format ahead of singles and advanced electronic music, album art and music videos. In 1968, Apple Corps was formed to manage their legacy. The band split in 1970, but all members had later success and reunions. Lennon and Harrison are no longer with us, but McCartney and Starr are still making music.
