"the Boss" T-Shirt (reprint 2012) celebrates the 1985 Born in the U.S.A. Tour, his longest and most successful tour to date. It marked his transformation via bodybuilding, the debut of future wife Patti Scialfa, and the absence of guitarist Steven Van Zandt. The tour visited the U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan, and Europe, grossing $80–90 million and drawing 3.9 million attendees. The Born in the U.S.A. album reigned in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 throughout the tour. Springsteen also had seven hit singles from the album and played the LP in its entirety.
