In the '90s and '00s, the Italian streetwear brand known as ENERGIE emerged, thanks to the perseverance and intuition of its founder Wicky Hassan. Born in Tripoli in 1955 and raised in Rome, Hassan imported popular brands like Timberland, Converse, and Levi's 501 to Italy, creating a frenzy among shoppers. By applying a bold Mexican fabric to ripped jeans, he sparked a trend that led to the opening of the first ENERGIE store in via del Corso and the founding of the Sixty group alongside Renato Rossi in 1989.
